I had the pulled pork bbq and it was quite good. Casual atmosphere. Nice people that work there.

Pork loin was good but bun was stale. Help wasn't all that friendly. Never received a thank you. Will probably give it another try.

Rustic BBQ with great taste and cozy atmosphere and low prices

Absolutely some of the very best brisket I have had outside of competition and festivals. It certainly rivals the best for cook tenderness, smoke ring, juiciness and flavor. Kudos job well done! And that's coming from a pitmaster. I shall return many more times.

The pulled pork wasn't good. It was really saucy and mushy to the point there was no chew. It's definitely not fresh and maybe in a crockpot for too long. I recommend sauce as optional and fresh meat.

The brisket and cowboy stew are the best

Had a brisket sandwich with slaw and baked beans. Very disappointed , brisket was dry no juiciness and little smoke,slaw had no dressing and the beans tasted like they came straight from a can. Spouse had a pork loin sandwich, again no juiciness and little flavor , pinto beans had no seasoning,inedible, potato salad tasted like it came from Walmart. And the young man cutting the meat acted like we were imposing on his time , needless to say will not be returning.

It was all very good. The pork was great but the brisket stole the show.

First time here. My husband and tried their short ribs half rack with slaw, potatoe salad and fries. The ribs are smokey and tender. Will come again with family

Small, place, big taste! The staff was very nice and fast. The food is great! All you can eat for $25, can't beat it. I definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely some of the best BBQ foods I've ever tasted tonight. I got the all you can eat because I wanted to try a little if everything. Was NOT disappointed. Everything was so delicious, fresh, and they had an excellent selection. If this is your first time here I definitely recommend the all you can eat and ask for a small sample of all of their meats. They have half chicken, sliced chicken, pork loin, BBQ pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. Staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful with explaining what seasoning/sauces is used on what dishes. Also the all you can eat includes all sides you can sample.This place is certainly a rare gem in the town of Shelbyville. Highly recommend.

Great everything. The pinto beans and coleslaw are vegetarian and taste great. Husband loves the brisket. Longhorn chili too. Try everything, you can't go wrong. Very friendly staff.

Having spent the past 25 years in Texas, I know what good brisket is supposed to taste like. Ken-Tex BBQ has the best I've tried in Kentucky. The sauce was perfect for it, made in house. Good value, friendly staff, it's what BBQ is all about. I will be stopping in every time I am in the Shelbyville area!

Ken tex has great food at great prices. I drove past marks feed store anpther 26 miles to eat at ken tex. Workers are always polite and courteous. You wont regret eating there.

Good French fries and basic chili the way I like it. I enjoyed the brisket. I’m always glad to see coke products and fountain service where I can get my own refills. Also there are quality name brand condiments. I can’t eat like I used to but the $19.95 all you can eat would be great for large appetites.

Fantastic BBQ. If you're in the Frankfort Kentucky area hitting the bourbon trail or otherwise, stop it here. It's some of the best barbecue you'll find in the area

Had not been here in years and remembered the food here being wonderful. Couldn't wait to take my out of town guest here, however, our briskets were very dry and we thew them out. Ours sides were delicious. Will go back and try again.

Good BBQ sandwich prepared in front of me while I waited. The potato salad was delicious and the fries awesome. The BBQ sauce was good. Bathroom was clean. Looks like a hole in the wall, but those are the ones that surprise you.

I’ve been going to Ken-Tex since I moved to Shelby county a couple years ago. They made a great first impression and I’ve been going ever since! Ken-Tex has the best BBQ in the area.

Just left the restaurant & it was my first time coming here. The food was AMAZING! As soon as we walked in, we ordered, and our food was ready in no time - hot and fresh. Place was clean, nice, and quiet. The staff was great too. I believe the woman may be the owner, and she knew it was my first time there, and she came over to ask how everything was, and made sure I was enjoying the food. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!
